Star Precision is a well established company with over 50 years experience in providing a precision manufacturing service to many industrial sectors. Our competency lies in our CNC turning and CNC milling to produce close tolerance components, assemblies and more.
What we do.
We have extensive experience of working in a wide variety of materials including stainless aluminium, titanium, steel, tool steel, monel, plastics, and brasses. We offer a "complete to drawing" service to include control of all procedures and necessary outsourcing of related treatments.
At Star we have the ability to tailor our range of services to meet your individual needs. From supply of machined parts, assemblies, and product making through to specific procurement requirements such as JIT, KANBAN etc.
Over the last 50 years we have worked to build and develop close relationships with our customers. This has been achieved by a skilled workforce with a determination to provide a professional and friendly service from initial enquiry to the delivery of finished parts.
History.
In 1965 Philip Clark started the business in general engineering in Sheffield. The company produced spring eye bushes, pins, and locomotive boxes. Then, in 1975 Philip purchased the companies current works in Dronfield on the outskirts of Sheffield.
1984 saw Philip's son Tim join the company and with steady growth, investment was made in CNC turning and milling technologies. Philip then retired in 1998 with Tim taking ownership of the business.
Today Tim runs the business with the help of Works Manager Jason Wainwright who joined the company in 1985.
